This small and affordable device is a standalone audio file player (WAV or MP3) stored on a micro-SD card (sold separately), in mono.
It has a "Play" button for simple use:
- A short press (< 1 second) plays the first file once.
- A long press (> 1 second) plays the first file in a loop.
- Hold the button down at startup and all files will play continuously in sequence.
This module is ideal for creating an audio kiosk, a sound installation, an exhibition, a museum display, a stage setup, integrating into a work of art, for model making, and countless other uses.
If you need help assessing the feasibility of your idea, assistance, building your setup, or anything else, contact me.
For advanced use, read the user manual.
If you're looking for a smarter or stereo module, check out my "Ambi'Son". Need help choosing between the two?

In Detail
Warning
Since the module is bare, you’ll need to equip it and possibly build a small enclosure. So please make sure that nothing conductive touches the circuit board — not even the metal part of a speaker. A short circuit could permanently damage the Exposi'Son!
Power Supply
The module can be powered between 3.2 and 5 volts, but a 5V supply is recommended to reach the full 3W audio output. The module alone is very energy efficient, which sometimes causes so-called "smart" power banks to shut down due to low power draw, especially at low audio volumes. So: test first!
USB, Batteries or Cells
For optimal autonomy, I recommend USB power. Otherwise, use rechargeable batteries, so plan for a 4-cell holder. For ecological and economic reasons, I NEVER recommend disposable alkaline batteries. They're cheaper but single-use... If I offer holders for 4 rechargeable batteries or 3 disposable cells, it's because rechargeables are 1.2V each (4 x 1.2 = 4.8V), and disposable ones are 1.5V (3 x 1.5 = 4.5V). However, if you're unsure whether you'll use rechargeables or disposables, choose a 3-cell holder.
Expandable
The module includes two screw terminals labeled "1" and "2" on the board — these correspond to "AdKey1" and "AdKey2". You can connect up to 20 push buttons in parallel to these terminals by wiring them in series with resistors (more details in the manual).
And More
To understand how it works, check out the user manual. To build your own module, visit my guide "Build a sound box".
I fully designed the device — from the PCB layout to soldering the components. It’s entirely handmade by me.
